Horned City

Besides the orbiting Shrike moonlet, the Drake’s initial survey found six anomalies on the surface of Groombridge 1830 III, the world that Captain Johannessen named Enigma. All were almost twenty million years old. All had been visited or looted repeatedly over the ages. All looked very different.

“Well that’s an interesting shape.”
“It’s almost a kilometer high.”
“And they say size doesn’t matter.”
“What do you think it is?”
“Um...”
“No, really.”
“Well it looks like it might be an arcology or something: a building that’s a city. There’s no other structures near it or buried in the sand.”
“Well, let’s call it the Horned City, then.”
“Or horny, maybe.”
“Shut up.”
